To download the transcript of a public TikTok video, copy its link, paste it into ReelTik and press Download. When the post has captions, the text appears on the result page – copy it, or save it as TXT, SRT or VTT. A video without captions has no transcript: the tool only passes on what TikTok itself provides.

TXT, SRT or VTT: which one to download
TXT is plain text without timings – practical for notes, quoting or translating. SRT and VTT are subtitle files: every line gets a start and an end time.
SRT is the format most video editors and players understand, including CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and VLC. VTT is the web format used by browsers and many online players. The words are the same in all three; only the timing differs.
Where the captions come from
The text is the caption track that TikTok itself provides: the creator typed it, or TikTok wrote it automatically. ReelTik does not listen to the audio and does not perform speech recognition.
Automatic captions can contain mistakes, especially with names, slang and background noise. The language of the transcript is the video's own caption language, not the automatic translation that TikTok shows inside its app.
When a video has no captions
Music-only clips, videos without speech and posts where neither the creator nor TikTok added captions have no transcript – and no tool can invent one. Only public posts can be opened; private and friends-only videos are not reachable.
If you need the words of a video without captions, you can download the sound as MP3 and run it through a speech-to-text service, or ask the creator for a transcript.

TikTok transcript questions
What is the difference between TXT, SRT and VTT?
TXT is plain text to read. SRT and VTT are subtitle files where every line has a start and end time; SRT is the common editing format, VTT the web format.
Why has my video no transcript?
The tool uses the captions TikTok provides. Clips with only music, videos without speech and posts without captions have none.
Are automatic captions accurate?
They often are, but names, slang and noisy places can produce mistakes. Read the text before quoting it.
Which language is the transcript in?
In the language of the video's own captions. TikTok's automatic translations are not included.
Can I download the transcript of a private video?
No. Only public posts can be opened; private and friends-only videos are not accessible.
Does it cost anything?
No. Reading, copying and downloading transcripts on ReelTik is free and needs no account.
