Turn TikTok captions into text
Many TikTok videos carry captions – added by the creator or generated automatically by TikTok. Paste the video link into ReelTik to read the whole transcript on this page, copy it with one tap, or download it as plain text (TXT) or as subtitles with timings (SRT or VTT). ReelTik only passes on the captions TikTok already provides: a video without captions has no transcript.

TikTok transcript questions
How do I get the transcript of a TikTok video?
Copy the link, paste it above and press Download. When the video has captions, the transcript appears under the result with buttons to copy it or save it as TXT, SRT or VTT.
Why does a video have no transcript?
ReelTik does not listen to the audio itself; it uses the captions TikTok provides. Music-only clips, videos without speech and posts where neither the creator nor TikTok added captions have none.
Are the captions accurate?
Most are generated automatically by TikTok and can contain mistakes, especially with names, slang or background noise. Check the text before you quote it.
What is the difference between TXT, SRT and VTT?
TXT is plain text for reading. SRT and VTT are subtitle files: every line has a start and end time, so video editors and players can show it in sync with the video.
Which language is the transcript in?
The language of the video's own captions. The automatic translations TikTok shows in its app are not included.
Can I get the transcript of a private video?
No. Only public posts can be opened; private posts are not accessible to us.
May I publish a transcript?
The words belong to the creator. Use transcripts for personal notes, accessibility or research, credit the creator when you quote them, and ask before republishing whole texts.
Is the text stored anywhere?
No. The captions are fetched from TikTok and converted at the moment you ask for them; ReelTik keeps neither the text nor the link.
Can I use the SRT file in a video editor?
Yes. SRT is understood by most editors and players, including CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and VLC. VTT is the web format that browsers and many online players use.
Is the transcript tool free?
Yes. It is free, with no registration and no limit.
