Download TikTok Videos on iPhone

Paste a TikTok link, download in Safari, then add the clip to your camera roll

To save a TikTok video on iPhone without the watermark, copy the video's link in TikTok (Share → Copy link), paste it into the box above in Safari and tap Download. Safari stores the MP4 in the Files app under Downloads; open it there and tap Share → Save Video to put it in Photos.

Save a TikTok to your iPhone camera roll in four steps

  1. Copy the link in TikTok. Open the video, tap the Share arrow on the right and choose Copy link.
  2. Paste it in Safari. Open ReelTik in Safari, tap Paste (or long-press the box and choose Paste) and tap Download.
  3. Pick a file and confirm. Choose the H.264 video or HD when available, then confirm the browser’s download or save prompt. If the button changes to “Tap again to save”, tap it once more when the file is ready. Keep this page open while it prepares the file.
  4. Move it to Photos. Open the Files app → Downloads, tap the video, then Share → Save Video. It now sits in your camera roll.

Where Safari puts the video

iPhone and iPad do not save browser downloads straight to Photos. Safari keeps them in a Downloads folder in the Files app – by default iCloud Drive → Downloads. You can see running downloads by tapping the download arrow that appears in Safari's address bar.

If you would rather keep downloads on the phone only, open Settings → Apps → Safari → Downloads (on older iOS versions Settings → Safari → Downloads) and choose On My iPhone. New downloads then go to On My iPhone → Downloads.

Chrome and in-app browsers on iPhone

In Chrome on iPhone, open the downloaded file and use SAVE… → Files, or Share → Save to Files. Check the folder you selected; a preview opened in another app is not a permanent saved copy.

In UC, QQ, Quark or an in-app browser on iPhone, a system share panel may appear instead of a download. Choose Save Video, Save Image or Save to Files there. If the site shows an “open in browser” message, use its copy-link button and open that link in Safari.

Which file to pick on iPhone

H.264 is usually the safer choice for sharing with older phones and computers. HD commonly uses H.265 (HEVC), which may need a compatible player. The available quality depends on TikTok’s source file; this tool does not restore missing detail.

If HD is missing, choose one of the available files. A missing button means that version is not currently available through the tool, not that the creator never had a better copy.

Find the downloaded file

Use the browser’s Downloads list to locate the saved file before moving it to Photos.

iPhone questions

Why can't I find the video in Photos?

Safari saves downloads to the Files app, not to Photos. Open Files → Downloads (or On My iPhone → Downloads), tap the video and choose Share → Save Video.

Do I need a Shortcut or an app from the App Store?

No. The download runs in Safari. Shortcuts and apps are not needed, and you don't sign in to TikTok.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes. The steps are the same: Safari saves the video in Files → Downloads, and Share → Save Video adds it to Photos.

Safari only plays the video instead of downloading it. What now?

Use the buttons that appear after you press Download on this page – they send the file as a download. When Safari asks whether to download the file, tap Download.

Is the sound included?

Yes. The MP4 contains the video's audio. If you only want the sound, tap MP3 audio instead.

Can I save videos from private accounts?

No. Only posts that anyone can watch on TikTok can be downloaded.

Can I save TikTok photo posts on iPhone too?

Yes. Paste the link of a photo post and save each picture; in Files you can select them all and choose Share → Save Images.

Why does the button ask me to tap again?

If the button changes to “Tap again to save”, tap it once more when the file is ready. Keep this page open while it prepares the file.

Nothing happens in an in-app browser. What should I do?

In UC, QQ, Quark or an in-app browser on iPhone, a system share panel may appear instead of a download. Choose Save Video, Save Image or Save to Files there. If the site shows an “open in browser” message, use its copy-link button and open that link in Safari.
