How to Copy a TikTok Link
The link is all you need to save a TikTok – here is how to get the right one
In the TikTok app, open the video or photo post, tap the Share arrow and choose Copy link – this works the same on iPhone and Android. On a computer, open the post on tiktok.com and copy the address from the browser bar. Both the short link (vm.tiktok.com/…) and the full link (tiktok.com/@name/video/…) work for downloading.
Copy a link in the TikTok app
- Open the post. Play the video or open the photo post you want to save.
- Tap Share. It is the arrow icon on the right side of the screen.
- Choose Copy link. It sits in the row of options at the bottom of the share sheet; TikTok confirms that the link was copied.
- Paste it where you need it. On ReelTik, tap Paste or long-press the box and choose Paste.
Copying a link on a computer
On tiktok.com, click the video so that it opens on its own page. The address bar now shows a full link such as tiktok.com/@name/video/ followed by a long number – that is the link. Select it and press Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on a Mac).
The video page also has a Copy link button next to the share icons, which copies the same address. In the TikTok desktop app use Share → Copy link.
You can paste the whole message
TikTok often shares links inside a sentence, for example when a friend sends you a video in a chat. You don't need to cut the link out: paste the whole text into ReelTik and the first TikTok link in it is used. Extra tracking parameters after a question mark are ignored too.
When a short link stops working
Short links (vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com and tiktok.com/t/…) forward to the full address of the post. TikTok sometimes sends a valid short link to its home page instead; ReelTik retries such a link automatically before reporting it as expired.
If you still get an error, open the post, copy a fresh link, or use the full tiktok.com/@name/video/… address, which never expires while the post is online.
Which TikTok links work

| vm.tiktok.com/ZM… or vt.tiktok.com/ZS… | Short share link | Yes |
| tiktok.com/t/ZT… | Short link from the website | Yes |
| tiktok.com/@name | Profile page | No – open one post and copy its link |
| tiktok.com/@name/live | Live stream | No – live streams are not supported |
TikTok link questions
Where is the Copy link button in TikTok?
Tap the Share arrow on the right of the video. Copy link is in the row of icons in the share sheet; you may need to swipe the row sideways.
How do I copy a TikTok link on iPhone?
Exactly as on Android: Share → Copy link. Then paste it in Safari with Paste or by long-pressing the box.
How do I get a TikTok link on PC?
Open the video on tiktok.com so it has its own page, then copy the address bar or click Copy link on the page.
Can I paste a link to a TikTok profile to download all videos?
No. Downloads work one post at a time; open each video and copy its own link.
Does the same work for photo posts?
Yes. Photo posts and slideshows have the same Share → Copy link option, and their links work just like video links.
Why does TikTok add ?_t= or other text to the link?
Those are tracking parameters. They don't matter for downloading and are ignored.
