To get a TikTok sound on iPhone, copy the video link in TikTok, paste it above in Safari, tap Download and then MP3 audio. Safari saves the MP3 in the Files app under Downloads, where you can play it, share it or open it in an app that imports audio from Files.
Download a TikTok sound on iPhone
- Copy the link. In TikTok tap Share → Copy link on a video (or photo post) that uses the sound.
- Paste it in Safari. Open ReelTik, tap Paste and then Download.
- Tap MP3 audio. Confirm Download when Safari asks. Long videos take a few seconds longer.
- Find it in Files. Open Files → Downloads (or On My iPhone → Downloads). Tap the MP3 to play it.
What the MP3 contains
The MP3 is the sound attached to the post. For an original sound that is the video's own audio. For a song from TikTok's music library it is the clip TikTok uses for that song – often only a part of the track – and without any voice-over the creator recorded on top.
When TikTok already stores the sound as an MP3, you get that file unchanged. Otherwise the audio is converted to MP3 at 192 kbps while you download; nothing is kept on our servers.
What you can do with the file on iPhone
Files plays the MP3 directly and lets you share it through AirDrop, Messages or mail. Video editors and many audio apps can import it through their Files or Browse option.
The Music app on iPhone does not import files from Files, so an MP3 from TikTok will not show up in your Apple Music library on its own. Turning it into a ringtone is possible with extra steps in an app such as GarageBand.
Sounds from photo posts
TikTok photo posts have music too. Paste the link of the photo post and tap MP3 audio to keep the soundtrack without the pictures.

iPhone MP3 questions
Do I need a Shortcut to convert TikTok to MP3 on iPhone?
No. Safari downloads the MP3 directly from this page; no Shortcut or app is needed.
Where is the MP3 on my iPhone?
In the Files app under Downloads – either in iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, depending on Safari's download setting.
Why is the song shorter than the original?
For songs from TikTok's library, TikTok usually keeps only a clip. The MP3 contains exactly that clip.
Why can't I hear the creator's voice in the MP3?
If the creator talked over a library song, the post's sound is the song clip alone. Download the video instead if you want everything you hear in the post.
What quality is the MP3?
If TikTok stores the sound as MP3 it is passed through unchanged; otherwise it is converted at 192 kbps.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes, the steps are the same in Safari on iPad.
