Make a TikTok Sound Your Ringtone
Save the sound as MP3, then set it as your ringtone – steps for Android and iPhone
First save the TikTok's sound as an MP3: paste the video link into ReelTik, press Download and tap MP3 audio. On Android, open the MP3 in Files by Google and choose More → Set as ringtone. On iPhone, import the MP3 into Apple's free GarageBand app, trim it to 30 seconds or less, then share it as a Ringtone and choose Standard Ringtone.
Step 1: get the sound as MP3
- Copy the TikTok link. In TikTok tap Share → Copy link on a video that uses the sound.
- Download the MP3. Paste the link on ReelTik, press Download and tap MP3 audio.
- Check where it went. Android: the Download folder. iPhone: the Files app → Downloads.
Android: set the MP3 as ringtone with Files by Google
Files by Google is the easiest route because it behaves the same on most phones. Find the MP3 in its Audio category, start playing it, and the More menu offers Set as ringtone. On first use Android wants permission: confirm with Continue and switch on Allow modify system settings. A short confirmation appears once the sound is your ringtone.
You can also do without the app. On Android 12 and later the ringtone is chosen under Settings → Sound & vibration → Ringtone, although phone makers do not all use these names. Alternatively, connect the phone to a computer by USB and copy the MP3 into its Ringtones folder, so that the phone offers it as a ringtone.
iPhone: make a ringtone with GarageBand
On iPhone the conversion happens in GarageBand, Apple's free music app. Open a blank project through the app's Home Screen shortcut, Create New Audio Recording, switch to the Tracks view, select the track and open the Loops Browser. Under Files, Browse items from the Files app leads you to the MP3 in Downloads.
Place the MP3 on the track so that it starts at the very beginning of the timeline – any gap in front of it would be silence when the phone rings – and pull in the ends of the region until it lasts 30 seconds or less. Finally select the project in My Songs, choose Share → Ringtone, give it a name and Export. The Use sound as options make it your Standard Ringtone, your Standard Text Tone or the tone of a single contact.
Before you start: pick the right part
For songs from TikTok's music library, the MP3 is the clip TikTok uses, not the whole track. Original sounds are the video's full audio, so on iPhone you may need to trim them to the 30 seconds you want to hear when the phone rings.
A sound that someone else created is theirs. Using it as your own ringtone is personal use; publishing it anywhere else needs the owner's permission.

Ringtone questions
Can I use a TikTok sound as my ringtone without an app?
On Android you can copy the MP3 into the Ringtones folder from a computer, or use the free Files by Google app. On iPhone you need GarageBand, which is free from Apple.
Why is my iPhone ringtone cut off?
An iPhone ringtone lasts 30 seconds at most. When your recording is longer, GarageBand can trim it for you as part of the export.
Can I set a TikTok sound for only one contact?
Yes. On iPhone choose Assign to contact after exporting from GarageBand; on Android open the contact in Contacts, tap More → Set ringtone.
Can I use it as an alarm or notification sound?
On iPhone, GarageBand also offers Standard Text Tone. On Android, Google notes that alarm sounds and ringtones use different folders, so an alarm sound is set separately from the ringtone.
Why does my MP3 contain only part of the song?
For songs from TikTok's library, TikTok usually stores only a clip, and the MP3 contains exactly that clip.
Is the MP3 good enough for a ringtone?
Yes. When TikTok stores the sound as MP3 you get it unchanged; otherwise it is converted at 192 kbps.
